MY APPROACH
Healing begins when you feel truly heard.
Our work together is built on:
○ Genuine empathy
○ Acceptance without judgement
○ Emotional safety
○ Trust
○ Respect
○ Compassion
As therapy develops, we'll gently explore the thoughts, emotions, experiences and patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
We'll celebrate progress, navigate setbacks together, and work towards lasting change that feels meaningful to you.

Choosing a therapist means placing your trust in someone.
I bring both extensive professional training and lived understanding to my work. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, which is recognised in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
My qualifications include:
○ BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy
○ SEG Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
○ SEG Certificate in Counselling Skills
I have also completed specialist training in:
○ Bereavement and complex grief
○ Bereavement by suicide
○ Walk and Talk Therapy
○ Therapeutic Mindfulness
○ Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST)
○ ADHD Coaching
This enables me to support people experiencing everything from grief and trauma to neurodiversity, life transitions and relationship challenges with confidence, sensitivity and care.
Experience You Can Trust

Before Therapy:
It is important to choose a therapist who is right for you. Therapists are aware that not every therapist suits every person. If you choose Bridgewell Therapy, we will have an initial 20-minute discussion to explore your expectations of therapy, the amount of time you can commit, what you need, and what finances allow for. During this time, I will clinically assess you for suitability. This is a chance for you to explore how I work and explore if you feel comfortable with me. Together, we will look at the therapy contract and the boundaries around both our roles in this unique relationship, which is unlike any other we have in life. It can be helpful if you have a goal or idea of what you would like to explore in therapy. Remember that you can end therapy at any time; it is a normal process to reach an ending.
During Therapy:
Everyone experiences therapy differently. This is a unique relationship, and you may feel relieved, understood, or hopeful, but it’s also normal to experience nervousness, emotional distress, or uncertainty at times. Therapy can bring difficult emotions to the surface, and at times there may be anger, silence and tears, all very normal. You may not always leave a session feeling better, and allowing time after a session and before the next session to reflect can be beneficial. Sometimes it may be useful to attend the session knowing what you would like to bring and discuss; other times the session may evolve organically.
After Therapy:
Therapy can be a transformative experience, but making the most of it requires effort beyond the session. Take time to reflect on what you’ve learned, practice self-care, and apply new insights in your daily life. The work we do together may help you develop greater confidence in your choices, learn to set healthy boundaries, and become more comfortable with self-reflection. We always recommend a planned ending, if possible, and many people struggle with endings in general. This can provide a way forward, ending the relationship with care and hope for the future; a blueprint for any future endings. People often return to therapy throughout different stages and challenges in life.
Therapy produces the best result when it is at the right time for YOU,
with the right person
for YOU, delivered in the right way, for YOU.
