THERAPY OPTIONS

Alongside traditional indoor sessions, I offer ‘walk and talk therapy’ in natural settings, including woodland and beach environments. For many people, being outdoors can feel less intense, more grounding, and more freeing than sitting face-to-face in a room.

Nature can support reflection, regulation, and a sense of connection, particularly when words feel hard to find. Walking side by side often allows thoughts and feelings to emerge more naturally, with the rhythm of movement helping to ease anxiety and overwhelm.

You don’t need to be “good at walking” or love the outdoors to benefit - just be open to trying something different, with the appropriate clothing and footwear.

Walk and Talk therapy is available between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (and to 7 pm in summer months), but it is subject to weather suitability.

Walk and Talk Therapy in Nature

Mindfulness is a practice used by millions of people worldwide, and by some therapists as an intervention, to enhance emotional well-being and regulation for their clients.

Many individuals are hesitant to explore mindfulness due to the common misconception that it is equivalent to meditation. Being mindful can be as simple as watching the birds in the garden or focusing on the wave as it hits the shoreline. Mindfulness, translated simply, is present-moment awareness.

I can support you by helping you incorporate mindful practice into your everyday life, taking control of your well-being, and actively seeking a mental health intervention that will support you. This approach can be helpful for anxiety, stress, overwhelm, depression, illness, insomnia, loss and other challenging life experiences.

In Asian languages, the words for 'mind’ and 'heart' are the same. So, if you're not hearing mindfulness in some deep way as heartfulness, you're not really understanding it. Compassion and kindness towards oneself are intrinsically woven into it. You could think of mindfulness as wise and affectionate attention.
